Shawn Corey Carter, popularly known as Jay-Z, is a rapper and songwriter who is considered to be one of the greatest hip-hop artists ever. In 1995 he founded the record company Roc-A-Fella Records and began his career. Among his greatest albums include 2001’s The Blueprint, 2003’s The Black Album, 2007’s American Gangster, and 2017’s 4:44. He has won a total of 22 Grammy Awards.

However, Jay-Z is also well-known for his investments in various businesses, which include a talent agency and a clothing brand. Among his business ventures include the Rocawear clothing line, the full-service entertainment company, Roc Nation, as well as co-ownership of the Armand de Brignac champagne brand. With these and the other projects under his name, Jay-Z has racked up an approximate net worth of $1 billion, becoming the first hip-hop rapper ever to reach the billions range.
